Abstract
Ultrasound imaging has been used widely in many clinical applications. Because the resolution of an ultrasound image increases with operational frequency, high-frequency ultrasound imaging (>30 MHz) was proposed for providing high resolution ultrasound imaging in eye, skin, and small animal imaging applications. However, in conventional ultrasound imaging, the typical use of traditional line-by-line scan leads recording a few samples of the tissue signal during a certain duration; this reduces the frame rate for tracking tissue moving, particularly for blood flow and shear wave propagation. Therefore, a solution based on ultrafast ultrasound imaging was proposed for blood flow mapping in some small vessels and ultrasonic shear wave elastography. In this talk, I am going to show how we combine high-frequency ultrasound and ultrafast imaging. The applications of super resolution blood flow imaging and high resolution ultrasound elastography are also presented in this work, such as mice brain elastography and blood flow mapping, the elastography for eye and human tendons, and the vector Doppler imaging for human small peripheral vessels mapping.
