Abstract

Biomaterials play a pivotal role in field of tissue engineering and drug delivery system. Biomimetic scaffolds have been created to elicit specific cellular functions and to direct cell-cell interactions. Biomaterials can also serve as viable complex systems that interact with living organisms and encourage their proper biological functions. The current development of functionalized smart biomaterials and potential applications in tissue engineering and drug delivery will be widely discussed and covered in this talk.
